Entrance Guidelines

Basic Information
The following are guidelines that the administration expects will be closely followed in regards to writing entrances for television and Pay Per View events.

Your standard entrances, both for television of Pay Per View events, should be posted in the same thread (in separate replies if you’d like) in the Entrance forum on the message board.

Please make sure entrances are current with continuity, including the addition or removal of a manager/valet/partner, the gain or loss of a championship belt, etc.

HTML Coding
The coding for entrances is to follow the standard show format, that is, basic HTML. When posting your entrance in the Entrance Forum, please be sure to include the bare minimum of the: <font color="#999999"> </font> tags at the beginning and end of your entrance, even if you have no other HTML markup. Please be sure to either Disable HTML or use the BBCode [code] [/code] around your entrances so the code may remain intact as intended for the writers.

Television Entrances
Television entrances should be realistic to the amount of time that would be allotted to a character on any real wrestling program. This is probably around the 30 second time frame. Also, keep in mind that this entrance will be used every week that you have a match, and therefore if it is too long or uninteresting, it will become redundant and potentially skipped over by the reader of the show. If you would like to make variations to your entrance on a weekly basis, this can be done via a Strat.

Television entrances should consist of limited to no song lyrics. They should be quick and concise to get over the main point of the entrance.

Television entrances may be omitted for a more realistic show portrayal, such as your character making his way to the ring during the commercial break.

Pay Per View Entrances
Pay Per View entrances can be slightly longer and more detailed. Please keep them realistic though. That means and entire song worth of lyrics is not going to be used as the average Pay Per View entrance would only be about a minute and a half. More lyrics and greater description can be used to get across the feeling and point of your entrance.
